Overview
As a Category Advisor, you design and optimize front-end space allocation and assortment strategies to improve category productivity, shopper experience, and growth for single-serve beverage offerings.
What you'll do
- Lead the design and optimization of space allocation frameworks for an assigned retailer’s front-end beverage business.
- Develop assortment, modular, and space allocation strategies to optimize productivity across front-end destinations.
- Own and evolve front-end beverage merchandising standards with scalable space solutions.
- Analyze shopper behavior, store execution, and space productivity metrics to build merchandising frameworks.
- Develop a long-term vision for front-end total single-serve beverage solutions to drive convenience and incremental purchases.
- Shape impulse single-serve category destination design, placement, and execution standards.
- Create shopper and category centric presentations using research and data analysis.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience analyzing/interpreting data and managing highly complex modular systems and thousands of planograms annually.
- 3 to 5 years of customer-facing category management experience (Category Advisor/Captain preferred).
- Expert analytical and data interpreting skills for space planning and planogram automation.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills using primary/secondary research, loyalty/shopper panel, and syndicated POS data.
- Working knowledge of JDA (Space Planning) and advanced MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel including pivot tables, slicers, and formulas).
- Strong presentation and influence skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to teach, upskill, and mentor junior team members.
Nice to have
- Scintilla experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
