Cloud Developer - Golang

Overview

Design and develop highly scalable, robust cloud services for HPE's Observability solutions, focused on ingesting and analysing Logs, Traces and Metrics on the Hybrid Cloud (GreenLake) platform.

What you'll do

• Design and develop solutions that are highly scalable and robust.
• Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient and easily maintainable code.
• Write code to ingest observability data points such as Logs, Traces and Metrics.
• Write APIs to provide data for analytics.
• Develop, support and maintain one or more modules related to observability data points.
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and monitor applications in production environments.
• Be involved in the life-cycle project delivery work: requirement analysis, designing, building, testing and deployment.
• Analyse use cases and requirements to design secure and scalable solutions.

What you'll need

• 5-6 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Golang developer.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and a deep understanding of its internals.
• Experience with the full stack of Go frameworks and tools, including dependency management tools such as Godep, Go Modules and Vendoring, Go's templating knowledge, Go test frameworks and Go profiling tools.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, automate workflows, drive innovation, and improve business outcomes.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working on microservices architecture.
• Good understanding of software development best practices, version control tools such as Git or SVN, and continuous integration.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the OpenTelemetry protocol, gRPC, HTTP 2.0.
• Experience working on front-end features using React.
• Knowledge of ML and LLMs.
• Knowledge of proxies such as Envoy.
• Knowledge of Kafka or Apache Pulsar.
• Knowledge of ClickHouse or other big data analytics tools.
