Cloud Engineer

Overview

Own and modernize Litmos's Microsoft Azure environment, including infrastructure, data platforms, and AI platforms. Drive migration from VM-based infrastructure to cloud-native architecture using Infrastructure as Code and automation.

What you'll do

• Operate Azure compute, storage, and platform services.
• Lead migration from legacy VMs to containers, managed services, and serverless patterns.
• Administer production SQL Server and support Postgres adoption.
• Build Bicep Infrastructure as Code modules and PowerShell/Python automation.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with software engineering teams.
• Design Azure networking and apply security hardening.
• Strengthen monitoring, resilience, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimization.

What you'll need

• Senior-level hands-on experience running production Azure infrastructure.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills, ideally with Bicep.
• PowerShell scripting fluency.
• Production SQL Server administration experience.
• Exposure to Synapse, Azure AI Foundry, or comparable data and AI platforms.
• Working knowledge of network security and GDPR compliance.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours for US/Australia team overlap.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-700.
• Experience with Docker, AKS, or multi-cloud environments.
• Background in SRE practices or large-scale Azure migrations.
• Terraform experience.
