Overview
Neo4j is hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer to troubleshoot cloud and database issues and manage customer Neo4j database environments for maximum production uptime.
What you'll do
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents affecting Neo4j cloud infrastructure availability.
- Support and manage customer Neo4j database infrastructure during business hours and occasional off-hours.
- Improve, document, and automate operational processes such as deployments and upgrades.
- Gather and analyze OS and Neo4j database metrics to support performance tuning and incident diagnostics.
- Document incidents, procedures, and outcomes of customer communications.
- Install and upgrade Neo4j infrastructure components for Cloud Managed Service customers.
- Troubleshoot cluster issues across multiple servers, data centers, regions, and cloud environments.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of cloud infrastructure administrator experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with Linux operating systems such as RedHat/CentOS/Amazon Linux.
- Command-level fluency in Linux environments.
- Significant prior experience with at least one of AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Desirable: experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel); detail oriented with strong communication skills.
Nice to have
- Background in math.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows diagnostics and tuning.
- Experience with Nagios and Prometheus.
- Neo4j Certified Professional certification.
