Cloud Operations Monitoring Specialist (Remote - 2nd Shift)

Overview

RTX is seeking an experienced technologist to join the Cloud Operations team for the PST program, embedded within the XetaCloud Operations team and working within an Agile product team to support day-to-day cloud operations.

What you'll do

• Provide cloud operations services and support for primarily Microsoft Azure and potentially some Amazon AWS environments.
• Provide system administration services for Linux and Windows Server virtual machines.
• Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
• Investigate and permanently resolve problems.
• Contribute to proactive problem management.
• Design, document, test, and implement changes.
• Contribute to compliance and vulnerability management through patching, endpoint protection, and maintenance of key software installed on VMs.
• Contribute to enhancement of monitoring and automation.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation roster, day to be confirmed.

What you'll need

• University degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in a multi-cloud environment including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, including their associated networking, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with Datadog, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, ServiceNow, Statseeker, Netscout, and/or other monitoring tools.
• Experience managing production infrastructure and applications utilizing ITIL v3 (2011) or v4 best practices.
• Technical communication, including the ability to author professional user-facing documentation targeted at various user audiences.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure/AWS certifications.
• Experience with SQL Server, Log Analytics, and Qlik.

Details

• Remote role; the successful candidate must work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories), primarily offsite from home, with travel to a site location as needed.
• Second shift, to provide added coverage required by the PST program.
• Candidates may be asked to attend select interview steps in person at an office location.
• Security clearance: not required.
• U.S.-based role; salary range 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
