Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview

Designs, builds, tests, and deploys cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure, including deploying infrastructure and platform environments and creating proof of architecture to test viability, security and performance.

What you'll do

• Design, build, test and deploy cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy infrastructure and platform environments.
• Create a proof of architecture to test architecture viability, security and performance.
• Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with and managing the team and taking responsibility for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of new cloud technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align cloud infrastructure with business objectives.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience with PySpark.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Proficiency in PySpark.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Ability to design and validate architecture through proof of concept implementations.
• Familiarity with performance testing and optimization of cloud applications.
• Skilled in integrating cloud and non-cloud systems to create cohesive solutions.
