Overview
Develop and secure cloud and edge software solutions, including cloud stacks, deployment platforms, and cloud-hosted environments. The role focuses on cloud automation, deployment, software development, continuous security hardening, and compliance.
What you'll do
- Build CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop Kubernetes-based deployment platforms.
- Automate infrastructure for cloud and edge solutions.
- Manage observability and release management for cloud and edge solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement security features for cloud stacks using modern software development practices.
- Collaborate with vulnerability assessment, compliance, and technical teams to gather requirements and address cloud security challenges.
- Develop, integrate, and review cloud hosting solutions with a focus on continuous security hardening.
- Work with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker to ensure secure and efficient cloud deployment.
- Implement security across applications, integrations, databases, and processes using SAML, JWT, OAuth, SSL, and mTLS.
- Manage and secure CentOS and Ubuntu Linux operating systems for cloud-hosted environments.
- Document risks, security controls, and evidence to meet compliance standards.
- Manage large-scale deployments, platform reliability, monitoring, and automation of cloud-native workloads.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud software development, or a Master's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
- Proficiency in full-stack development with Core Java, Spring Boot, and Angular or similar Web UI frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of container technologies, including Kubernetes and OpenShift, and experience with Docker or Linux containers.
- Expertise in cloud hosting and infrastructure security, including application, integration, and database security.
- Ability to implement SAML, JWT, OAuth, SSL, and mTLS.
- Working knowledge of managing and securing Linux operating systems.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions/Jenkins, Terraform, Python, Linux, and cloud platforms.
Nice to have
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) certification.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, controls, and processes, including CIS and Docker Bench Security.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- Experience managing large-scale deployments, platform reliability, monitoring, and automation of cloud-native workloads.
