Component/Product Developer (Pipeline)

Overview

As a Component/Product Developer (Pipeline), you develop the local market for product sourcing by working with suppliers and leading material/component development and negotiations.

What you’ll do

• Identify and develop the local market for product sourcing in line with product strategies.
• Drive material and component development and secure options aligned to quality, price, and lead-time.
• Maintain and update a digital and physical library of materials and components.
• Interpret trends and concepts into material and component trend insights.
• Educate and develop suppliers, understand local capability, and minimize sourcing risks.

What you’ll need

• At least 7-12 years of relevant work experience in material and component development.
• Technical knowledge of materials/components development, costing, price, lead time, and quality.
• Sound knowledge in knitting/weaving/dyeing/finishing across synthetic/cotton/conscious fabrics and yarn.
• Experience in fabric development, fabric sourcing, costing, negotiation, and market insights.
• Knowledge of cotton, jersey, and woven is required.
• Understanding of material and component capabilities and collaboration skills.
