Configuration Management Engineer (Airframe)

Overview

Airframe Configuration Management Engineer for Airbus India, supporting the cabin customization and aircraft change process within the Configuration Management & DMU Integration Team.

What you'll do

• Coordinate change management activities focused on modification management and related feasibility studies.
• Handle requests for change and contribute to the catalogue.
• Define, configure, design, and integrate cabin interiors for delivery of customer-tailored cabin sets.
• Assess customer-specific requirements and their impact on customising product versions.
• Network and liaise across airframe, systems, and cabin sub-domains (including industrialization, standardisation, and integration).
• Propose and implement digitization ideas through new ways of working.
• Report activities as per Airbus procedures.

What you'll need

• 3 to 5 years of experience in cabin/airframe engineering, configuration management, or in-service upgrades.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace, automotive, or mechanical engineering.
• Airframe engineering experience in electrical or mechanical system installation OR structural design exposure.
• Understanding of aircraft change process (MOD process, TRSs, change requests, DQNs).
• Awareness of aircraft development process/product development cycles (PDRs, CDRs).
• Experience handling PDM/VPM tools and linking to CAD models in a design-in-context environment.
