Consultant - Data Science & Analytics

Overview

Consult as a Data Science & Analytics professional on client and internal projects, covering data work, modeling, and stakeholder communication.

What you'll do

• Identify, acquire, process, and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze structured and unstructured information to find trends and patterns.
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms from datasets.
• Communicate results through presentations, dashboards, datasets, and bots.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
• Contribute to training/upskilling and business development initiatives to evangelize data science.

What you'll need

• 1-3 years’ experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst (ideally in consulting).
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related).
• Good skills in Python.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and business acumen.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) fluency.

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, R-shiny).
• Good understanding of statistical techniques and concepts.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques or optimization.

• Engagements include both local and international client work.
• Internal data science projects are hosted on Heka.
