Content Developer II

Overview

Develop and maintain digital learning content for Esko’s software portfolio, supporting customer-facing learning and internal associate enablement. Convert product knowledge and Subject Matter Expert input into clear, engaging digital learning experiences, while supporting localization, release enablement, onboarding journeys, and modernization of legacy content.

What you'll do

• Analyze Subject Matter Expert input and convert it into structured scripts, storyboards, tutorials, and learning modules.
• Write scripts and develop alpha versions of interactive eLearning modules, product introductions, how-to videos, What’s-new videos, and training hand-outs.
• Create digital foundations, new product training, release enablement material, customer onboarding flows, and customer success journeys.
• Develop knowledge checks and other learning interactions.
• Build responsive and adaptive learning content using industry-standard content development tools.
• Develop training videos, tutorials, downloadable learning materials, and supporting assets.
• Ensure learning assets are clear, accurate, visually consistent, and aligned with team templates, standards, and best practices.
• Assist in converting SCORM-based learning assets into native 360Learning content through restructuring, instructional redesign, testing, quality assurance, localization rebuilding, and learner journey optimization.
• Support the use of 360Learning capabilities such as learning paths, collaborative learning, analytics, and AI-assisted capabilities where applicable.
• Conduct self-review and participate in peer reviews to improve learning content quality.
• Identify functional and quality gaps in content, including script effectiveness, simulation quality, and implemented learning experience.
• Contribute to templates, methodologies, content development standards, and design guidelines.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to clarify product workflows, technical details, and learning objectives.
• Work with Product Management, R&D, Application Engineering, and other internal teams on product updates, software releases, cloud product adoption, and learning enablement initiatives.
• Present and defend design decisions and key milestone deliverables to the team and management.
• Participate in discussions about learning scope, mission, content strategy, and digital learning improvements.
• Track assigned development tasks, completed work, and progress using Teams and Asana.
• Maintain time tracking and complete assigned work within agreed timelines.
• Manage content development tasks to support release readiness, planned learning initiatives, and business delivery commitments.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably with certification or training in content development, instructional design, digital learning, multimedia development, or a related area.
• 3 to 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years of experience in content development and instructional design.
• Experience developing responsive and adaptive content using Camtasia, Camtasia Audiate, SnagIT, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar industry-standard content development tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to critically analyze Subject Matter Expert input and transform it into effective learning content.
• Strong attention to detail and a highly organized working style.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to understand product needs, tools, and workflows.
• Self-initiative and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, products, and instructional principles.
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Creative thinking and the ability to propose innovative approaches to digital learning content.
• Willingness to participate in peer reviews, content improvement discussions, and quality enhancement activities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of A.I. for developing interactive eLearning content such as Agents and Widgets.
• HTML and CSS skills.
• Knowledge of French, German, Spanish, or Italian.
• Experience working on digital learning content for software products.
• Experience with eLearning platforms, learning paths, product onboarding content, or customer enablement content.
• Experience maintaining, localizing, updating, or publishing digital learning assets.
• Experience with SCORM-based content, LMS, LXP, or content migration projects.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Product Managers, R&D Application Specialists, Application Engineers, or Subject Matter Experts.
