Overview
Contract Accountant for Compute & Infrastructure Accounting to support recurring close and day-to-day operational accounting for cloud and AI infrastructure cost arrangements.
What you'll do
- Prepare and support month-end and quarter-end close activities including accruals, true-ups, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance/flux analysis.
- Provide journal-entry support with account/cost-center coding and coordinate approval/posting/rejection follow-ups.
- Perform vendor- and contract-level reconciliations by comparing actuals to accruals and supporting management reporting.
- Support lease, fixed-asset, construction-in-progress, and related infrastructure accounting entries and data capture.
- Maintain contract and pricing records and reflect changes (amendments, credits, delivery/drawdown changes, extensions, terminations) in recurring processes.
- Validate vendor invoices and operational data against rates, usage, commitments, delivery/resource attributes, and accounting mappings.
What you'll need
- Progressive accounting/audit/advisory (or related finance) experience with hands-on operational accounting.
- Hands-on close experience covering accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and workpaper preparation.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, including when to escalate for technical accounting review.
- Ability to interpret contracts/invoices and large operational datasets for accurate accounting outcomes.
- Advanced spreadsheet and data-analysis skills plus experience with an ERP or comparable finance system.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to reduce manual effort and improve analysis/documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation habits, and the ability to independently manage high-volume, deadline-driven work.
