Contract Specialist

Overview

Contract Specialist role at KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Pune, India, reporting to the Sr Procurement Manager, focused on contract and procurement management for vendor and project flowdowns.

What you'll do

• Liaise effectively with cross-functional teams including project, procurement, logistics and legal.
• Negotiate with vendors for purchase of equipment, goods and project flowdowns with respect to the prime contract.
• Stay conversant with contract-related issues and procurement flowdowns, alongside a project management role.
• Implement and maintain company strategies, policies and procedures with suppliers and external parties, and ensure best practice procurement processes are continually developed.
• Analyse internal processes and performance and align with external parties and suppliers.
• Monitor compliance with supply agreements by requesting supplier reports.
• Liaise with legal, finance and other internal stakeholders and obtain approval on contractual matters.
• Develop and maintain processes for contractual documents due for renewal and provide feedback on recommended action.
• Maintain system information with current and updated supply terms and documents.
• Perform claim management.
• Ensure compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.

What you'll need

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Working experience in multinational companies in a complex project environment in Procurement or Supply Chain, coordinating with sales, project, engineering, compliance, legal and contract management stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of buyer/KBR favourable terms and conditions, applicable laws, statutory compliances, rules and regulations.
• Negotiation skills with vendors.
• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration.
