Overview
Contracts Manager for EMEA to support commercial and technology transactions across the region at Anthropic. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, build contracting processes, and translate global legal strategy into regional execution.
What you'll do
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and procurement contracts.
- Draft and complete complex commercial transactions with enterprise customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
- Propose and develop scalable solutions to improve contracting efficiency.
- Streamline contract management processes by collaborating with business and legal teams.
- Triage regional legal matters with partner counsel and coordinate with global teams.
- Drive regional rollout of process improvements, policy updates, and enablement sessions initiated from headquarters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Finance, Business Operations, Research, and Procurement teams.
What you'll need
- Substantive knowledge across software and SaaS agreements, reseller agreements, services agreements, strategic partnerships, and commercial contract terms.
- Ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and procurement contracts.
- Experience managing the full contract lifecycle for technology transactions, sales organizations, and/or partnerships.
Nice to have
- 8+ years of related contract management experience, including at least 5 years supporting technology transactions and/or sales organizations and/or partnerships.
- Experience in a fast-paced technology startup with shifting priorities.
- Prior experience as part of a global or distributed legal team.
- High autonomy with appropriate escalation to global stakeholders.
- Strong async communication habits and effectiveness with a remote manager across time zones.
- Operational understanding of contract priorities in context of the organization’s mission.
- Process and policy improvement track record.
- Preference for concise explanations over legalese.
- Ability to operate outside areas of expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Authenticity and deep understanding of ethics in business.

- Role is based in London, with an in-office presence expected at least 25% of the time under the stated hybrid policy.
