Credit Risk Analyst

Overview

Credit Risk Analyst within Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Counterparty Credit Risk, Funds Underwriting, responsible for credit analysis and underwriting for Real Money Funds clients.

What you'll do

• Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi's Real Money Funds clients through fundamental credit analysis using quantitative and qualitative factors.
• Complete credit analysis write-up memos and final obligor risk ratings based on independent assessment and due diligence, within risk appetite.
• Continuously monitor the covered portfolio, including industry trends and impacts to key relationships, and escalate potential credit issues to Underwriting Team Leads, 2LoD Risk Partners and BCMA partners.
• Complete quality assurance reviews of application packages and analysis for thoroughness and accuracy before forwarding for underwriting.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and Policy, and escalating and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Work under stringent deadlines and manage time and priorities effectively.

What you'll need

• 1-2 years of prior experience with a focus on credit analysis for corporates / financial institutions.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial regulations, financial products, and credit analysis.
• Ability to analyze business and personal financial statements with respect to Citibank policies.
• Education: MBA, CA, CFA or equivalent.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority.
• Good Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.
