CRP Senior Design Engineer role in Chennai focused on designing electrical protection, control, and digital substation documentation.
What you'll do
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams and Protection Single Line Diagrams.
- Create panel layouts, BOM, and Protection & Control panel schematics for medium/high voltage substations.
- Develop junction box inputs for CT/VT and density monitors, including AC/DC load calculations.
- Produce trip matrices, IO signal lists, interlocking tables, and schematics for busbar configurations.
- Address customer technical queries during project execution when required.
- Self-review documents before submitting to the Lead Engineer.
What you'll need
- Prepare protection schematics for transformer/line/busbar/generator and related integrated protection in LCC.
- Generate Digital Control & Protection drawings for digital substations (with NCITs, MU’s, SAM600 modules).
- Adhere to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Understand and prepare communication architecture diagrams and mimic boards aligned with SLD and layout drawings.
- Selection of Bay Control Unit and other protection IEDs is part of the work.
