Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements, delivering AI-ready Workday solutions, including bespoke AI apps and agents tailored to customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead AI-driven solution design and delivery by applying GenAI and Agentic AI to address complex business challenges, automate processes, and integrate intelligent insights into enterprise workflows for measurable impact.
• Perform independently and become an SME.
• Actively participate in and contribute to team discussions.
• Contribute solutions to work-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Mandatory experience in the primary skill.
• Certification in the primary skill is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Workday Peakon Employee Voice.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Workday Peakon Employee Voice.
• Strong grasp of Generative and Agentic AI, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to align AI capabilities with business objectives while ensuring scalability, responsible use, and tangible value realization.
• Strong understanding of application development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with integration of applications and data management.
• Ability to analyze user requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems.
