Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Custom Software Engineer role focused on developing, configuring, and supporting software systems, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Prepare technical design specifications from functional requirements and analysis documents.
• Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide written feedback.
• Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical design specifications.
• Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
• Enhance applications by recommending and designing system improvements.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and participate in peer reviews.
• Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10+ years of experience developing systems/software for large business environments.
• Strong OOD and SOA principles, implementable in a language of choice (Java preferred).
• Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of scalable web services.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure and CI/CD DevOps technologies.
• Understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, functional testing, and performance testing.
• Minimum 12 years of experience developing in Java Enterprise Edition.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
