Customer Security Analyst, MDR (Unit 42)

Overview

Serve as the customer communication bridge for the Unit 42 Managed Detection and Response team, translating technical incident response activity into clear guidance and updates.

What you'll do

• Provide proactive communication and technical guidance to customers.
• Support onboarding for new customers.
• Monitor, triage, and route customer communications.
• Answer technical questions about alerts, reports, incidents, and recommendations.
• Manage customer communications during active incidents.
• Coordinate with MDR analysts on incidents, threats, and investigations.
• Escalate customer issues to Product, Engineering, and Unit 42 teams.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing cybersecurity role.
• Deep understanding of attack trends and threat detection services.
• Hands-on experience with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or XDR tools.
• Strong verbal and written customer communication skills.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, or presenting incident reports and security findings.
• U.S. citizenship.

Nice to have

• Tier 1/2 security operations analyst experience.
• Familiarity with Cortex XDR or Cortex XSOAR.
• Experience onboarding security services or clients.

• Remote role in California, United States.
• Annual compensation: $105,400–$170,500 USD.
