Overview
Cybersecurity Engineer providing engineering and operational cybersecurity support across the TOMCAT environment for TSA.
What you'll do
- Integrate cybersecurity requirements into enterprise IT operations across TOMCAT services.
- Support incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, and response coordination.
- Perform vulnerability management and security remediation, including POA&M and cybersecurity compliance reporting.
- Analyze vulnerability findings, risks, remediation status, exceptions, and trends.
- Coordinate remediation activities with system owners, infrastructure engineers, patch teams, and operations leads.
- Maintain audit evidence and cybersecurity reporting artifacts, corrective-action records, and technical documentation.
- Support RMF/FISMA/NIST/TSA-DHS cybersecurity requirements and related operational compliance activities.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of prior relevant experience with cybersecurity engineering, information security, or information assurance in an enterprise or federal environment (with a bachelor’s degree).
- Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity principles and federal cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience with vulnerability management, remediation, POA&M, RMF, and security reporting.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response processes.
- Experience working with enterprise security, endpoint, network, cloud, or infrastructure technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate cybersecurity actions with technical operations without disrupting mission systems.

- Work location: Remote, with onsite, surge, or shift support as required.
- Clearance: TSA Suitability and Public Trust Security Clearance required.
