Overview
The Data Center Engineer will manage data center facilities, infrastructure, systems, vendors, equipment, connectivity, and operations.
What you'll do
- Manage data center facilities by interacting with different vendors.
- Support the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and overall upkeep of infrastructure and systems.
- Liaise with third parties to maintain communication lines and data center infrastructure.
- Monitor technical progress, track project deliverables, and provide regular status updates.
- Handle equipment procurement, returns, shipments, and overall inventory management.
- Coordinate with local and remote teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure stable connectivity and operations.
What you'll need
- 2-5 years of working experience in a data center environment, including racking and stacking gear and cable management.
- Experience working for an exchange, including NSE, BSE, or MCX.
- Deep understanding of data center installation and cabling standards.
- Knowledge of the data center ecosystem, including cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling.
- Ability to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Ability to work independently, with little direct management.
- Understanding of networking and systems concepts, including circuits, IP routing, consoles, and networking.
