Data Engineer

Overview

Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection and processing, building data pipelines, ensuring data quality and implementing ETL processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection and processing.
• Create data pipelines and ensure data quality.
• Implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.
• Act as an SME, collaborate with and manage the team, and take responsibility for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams, contribute on key decisions and provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across teams.
• Lead efforts to optimize data pipeline performance and scalability.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and project contributions.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to align data engineering efforts with business objectives.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
• Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python (Programming Language).
• Proficiency in PySpark.
• Strong knowledge of data pipeline architecture and best practices for ETL processes.
• Experience in managing large-scale data processing and integration tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing environments.
• 15 years full time education.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks.
• Experience with Python (Programming Language).
• Experience with PySpark.
