Data Engineer

Overview

Remote Data Engineer (Medical Imaging) supporting the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure, compliant data solutions for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.

What you'll do

• Build cloud-native data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
• Implement data ingestion frameworks for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Develop APIs and integration services for data exchange between internal systems.
• Support database, storage, and data lake solutions across relational, NoSQL, and lakehouse systems.
• Implement data quality frameworks, validation rules, and automated checks.
• Contribute to data lineage, cataloguing, and governance capabilities.
• Apply security and compliance practices (e.g., role-based access control, encryption, audit trails).

What you'll need

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Experience with scalable data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Beam, or Databricks.
• Exposure to cloud-native data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Good SQL skills and Python experience.
• Working knowledge of cloud-native data platforms and serverless architectures (Azure, AWS).
• Understanding of data modelling concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Data Engineering/Software Engineering or related discipline.

• Location: Remote in France.
• Salary: up to EUR 47,300 per year.
