Data Engineer III

Overview

Data Engineer III role focused on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms using AWS, Python/SQL, and big data tools.

What you'll do

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data.
• Use AWS services like Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions to schedule and monitor workflows.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
• Manage structured and unstructured data using AWS storage and catalog services.
• Integrate batch and real-time data streams from multiple sources, including APIs and databases.
• Implement security, governance, and compliance using encryption, IAM roles, and auditing.
• Monitor pipeline health using CloudWatch and CloudTrail and collaborate in Agile processes.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of professional data engineering or software engineering experience with a strong data focus.
• Experience delivering complex, production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business and analytical requirements into governed data solutions.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
• BA/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science preferred (or equivalent experience required).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and listed services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lambda, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, research, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.
