Lead Data Engineer, Portfolio Management Group, Associate

Overview

Lead Data Engineer role supporting data engineering for analytics and AI use cases within the Global Fixed Income team.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms for structured and unstructured data.
• Own end-to-end data engineering solutions (ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, serving).
• Architect robust data models, pipeline frameworks, and reusable components.
• Drive data engineering best practices including standards, testing, observability, performance tuning, and release processes.
• Implement data quality controls, validation frameworks, and monitoring for trusted downstream consumption.
• Optimize data platforms and workloads for cost, scalability, resilience, and performance on cloud environments.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of data engineering foundations.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL with hands-on enterprise-grade data engineering experience.
• Deep experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT design, pipeline optimization, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience designing data quality, monitoring, lineage, and observability practices for production.
