Data Engineer

Overview

Easyship is hiring a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines, warehouses, and data services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role includes an AI-augmented focus to support an insights layer and smarter automation.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Optimize and manage the data warehouse in BigQuery to ensure integrity and performance.
• Implement data transformations and modeling using Dataform (DBT).
• Develop infrastructure for fast data services and APIs.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in pipelines and queries.
• Support machine learning workflows by enabling pipelines for feature engineering, training, and deployment.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Extensive experience with GCP including BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataform (DBT), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
• Experience building data services/API infrastructure.
• Clear communication and collaboration with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders.

Details

• Full-time, onsite role based in the Bangalore office (5 days WFO).
• Reporting to the Head of Data.
• Works with teams in the UK and follows UK working hours.
