Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer

Overview

Design and deliver modern data and AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including scalable data products, semantic models, AI Agents, Data Agents and business-facing applications.

What you'll do

• Design scalable data engineering solutions with Fabric Lakehouse, Data Factory, pipelines and notebooks.
• Build ingestion, transformation and medallion-layer patterns for governed data products.
• Develop AI Agents, Data Agents, ontology-driven solutions and RAG experiences.
• Create semantic models, relationships, calculations and DAX measures.
• Develop production transformations and validation logic with Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Integrate data and AI capabilities into web applications, APIs and business workflows.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders through production deployment.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of relevant data engineering, analytics engineering or AI solution development experience.
• Strong Microsoft Fabric experience across Lakehouse, pipelines, notebooks and OneLake.
• Python, PySpark and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with semantic modeling, DAX, dimensional modeling and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI, RAG, embeddings, vector search and LLM integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) certification.

Nice to have

• DP-203, AI-102 or PL-300 certification.
• Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI or comparable enterprise LLM platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake and modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Direct Lake, real-time analytics, deployment pipelines and DevOps automation.
