Staff Software Engineer- Eng (Finops Data Engineer)

Overview

Lead Data Engineer for the FinOps Platform & Reporting, building and supporting core data infrastructure for cloud cost governance and decision-making.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across AWS and GCP.
• Integrate cloud billing, usage, telemetry, and business datasets for forecasting and reporting.
• Build data models for allocation, forecasting, budgeting, and optimization use cases.
• Implement automated data validation and quality controls.
• Support cloud cost allocation/tagging and chargeback/showback data pipelines.
• Build data services and APIs for dashboards, analytics, and AskFinOps capabilities.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and Python development skills.
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
