Overview
Data Engineer with Python to build scalable digital solutions for industrial IoT and timeseries analytics within an agile team.
What you'll do
- Design and implement product features with developers, architects, product owners, and domain experts.
- Develop production-grade Python code for industrial IoT and timeseries data analytics applications.
- Build scalable data-processing algorithms using machine-learning and deterministic approaches.
- Create backend services, web applications, and REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
- Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale timeseries datasets.
- Write unit, integration, and component test cases using software engineering best practices.
- Deploy and operationalize solutions on Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, Azure Databricks).
- Investigate and resolve production issues and drive continuous improvements based on feedback.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- At least 4 years of strong production-grade Python development.
- Proficiency with OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID, and clean-code practices.
- Experience building backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines with FastAPI/Flask.
- Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and timeseries data processing.
- Experience with unit/integration testing (PyTest or similar), Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure application development, including Azure Functions, Azure Databricks, SQL, and NoSQL concepts.

- Position contributes to the Motion Business Service Division in Bangalore, India.
- Reports to the R&D Team Lead.
- Works in a global agile development team of 30+ developers, product owners, and architects.
