Data Engineering Manager

Overview

Lead a data engineering team and support data science and reporting and analytics teams in building scalable commercial data solutions for medical and sales representative use cases.

What you'll do

• Design scalable data ingestion and integration solutions for data products.
• Apply business and technical rules to ensure data quality.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities for data processes.
• Build Python data pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with solution architects and vendors on best practices.
• Manage data modelling, harmonization, metadata, and ontology standards.
• Assess feasibility, define requirements, and support end-user training.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with healthcare or life sciences.
• University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Expertise in Python, PySpark, and R for ETL and BI data products.
• Experience with DevOps, AWS cloud data integration, and third-party ingestion tools.
• Proficiency in SQL with relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and BI platforms such as Power BI.

Nice to have

• Experience with Commercial data.
• Experience with cloud databases such as Snowflake.
• Understanding of data science concepts.
