Manager Data Engineering

Overview

Manage an engineering team and lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native data platform solutions supporting analytics, personalization, recommendations, marketing, and advertising use cases.

What you'll do

• Define and drive the data platform's technical vision.
• Lead architecture decisions for the data platform.
• Participate in architecture design and code reviews.
• Manage and mentor engineering team members.
• Oversee resource planning, performance reviews, and career development.
• Establish delivery practices, KPIs, and governance processes.
• Evaluate technologies and champion automation, observability, and security.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of data engineering and/or software engineering experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership or managerial experience overseeing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, cloud-native platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and managing streaming and batch data engineering and AI/ML pipelines at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or Scala, and SQL.
• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, Flink, and cloud data warehouses.
