Data Engineering Manager, Product

Overview

Manage Product-focused analytics engineering to build scalable data foundations that power reliable, accurate product metrics and self-serve analytics.

What you'll do

• Build and lead the Product Analytics Engineering team, including hiring and mentoring analytics engineers.
• Define and execute a roadmap for product data foundations and analytics capabilities.
• Oversee scalable data pipelines, data models, and solutions that turn event logs into canonical datasets and data marts.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering leaders to translate data needs into technical requirements.
• Establish and maintain data integrity standards, SLAs, alerting, and best practices.
• Develop foundational data products and tools for self-serve analytics, partnering with Data Science.

What you'll need

• 8+ years managing analytics engineering or data engineering teams.
• 10+ years total experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar data-focused roles.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, dbt, and modern data stack tools.
• Proven track record building and leading high-performing teams.
• Experience partnering with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to deliver product metrics and user behavior insights.

Details

• Annual compensation range: $405,000 to $485,000 USD.
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Location-based hybrid policy: expected in an office at least 25% of the time.
• Visa sponsorship available (not guaranteed for every role/candidate).
