Data Scientist - AI and LLMs - People Analytics

Overview

Develop data-science, machine-learning and AI solutions that turn People and business data into insights, predictions and decision-support products. Apply statistical expertise and practical AI/LLM skills to complex business problems within the People Analytics Development Pod.

What you'll do

• Frame complex business questions as measurable analytical, statistical, machine-learning or AI problems.
• Explore, prepare and analyse data to identify insights, patterns, risks and opportunities.
• Design and develop predictive, descriptive, diagnostic and prescriptive models.
• Prototype and evaluate LLM solutions using prompts, retrieval, grounding, citations and guardrails.
• Define structured evaluations for relevance, factuality, completeness, safety, fairness and usefulness.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to operationalise analytical and AI capabilities.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, performance, evaluation results and limitations.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant quantitative or technical field.
• Strong professional experience in data science, advanced analytics, statistics, machine learning or a comparable discipline.
• Strong hands-on Python and SQL skills.
• Strong grounding in statistical analysis, model validation and experimental or quasi-experimental methods.
• Experience developing predictive or analytical models and translating results into business decisions.
• Practical experience with AI or LLM-enabled solutions and LLM evaluation.
• Understanding of privacy, fairness, explainability and responsible-AI considerations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, NLP, embeddings, vector search or conversational systems.
• Experience in workforce, talent, HR, commercial or operational analytics.
• Experience with forecasting, workforce planning, optimisation, experimentation or causal inference.
