Senior Associate - Data Scientist (IND)

Overview

Data Scientist (Senior Associate, Data Scientist 2) applying advanced analytics and machine learning to build predictive models and business insights in a big data environment.

What you'll do

• Extract/sample data, check integrity, handle missing/outliers, run EDA, engineer features, and build/tune models under supervision.
• Validate and fix modeling issues such as overfitting, estimate business impact, and present findings to the manager.
• Translate analytical results into recommendations and communicate results to internal partners.
• Research industry trends and evaluate new tools/algorithms/platforms/data through use case testing.
• Support model risk management by applying first-line controls, preparing governance documentation, and working on validations/audits.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or similar).
• 2–3 years of related work experience.
• Hands-on experience developing statistical/ML models and conducting data mining to solve business problems.
• Experience extracting and processing large files/data sets.
• Ability to interpret model results and translate insights into business recommendations.
• Skills: Spark SQL, Python, SAS/STAT, SQL, Machine Learning, Data Science, and AWS.
