Data Scientist Senior Consultant – Remote

Overview

Senior Data Scientist consultant leading the use of data and advanced analytics to drive decisions within Auto Claims, including machine learning and predictive modeling projects of medium complexity, with some mentoring of junior data scientists.

What you'll do

• Develop, execute and manage new machine learning predictive modeling algorithms.
• Code and develop tools that use machine learning and predictive modeling to make business decisions.
• Search for and integrate new structured and unstructured data, internal and external, that improves modeling and machine learning results.
• Discover solutions to business problems that can be solved through machine learning and predictive modeling.
• Use best practices to develop complex statistical and machine learning techniques that address business needs and improve the accuracy of data-driven decisions.
• Review, evaluate and communicate the appropriateness of modeling techniques and results to team, leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the team on data and complex business problems, designing, building and partnering to implement machine learning and predictive models.
• Understand business problems to identify the optimal modeling and analytic approach.
• Research, evaluate and apply emerging modeling techniques and technologies to improve business outcomes.
• Use effective project planning to break down moderately and occasionally complex machine learning and development projects into tasks and keep deadlines.
• Begin to provide mentoring and development support to junior data scientists.

What you'll need

• 3 or more years of experience as a Data Scientist.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or equivalent experience.

Details

• Remote role.
• Travel up to 10% to regional office for team meetings.
• Not available to California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington or Puerto Rico residents.
• Compensation 100,000.00 - 170,500.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Subject to a background investigation.
