Overview
DCS/BMS Service Engineer responsible for maintaining and optimizing Distributed Control System (DCS) and Building Management System (BMS) controls across multiple data center sites.
What you'll do
- Maintain DCS and Central Monitoring System (CMS) from servers to field devices.
- Perform system backups, firmware/software updates, and ensure ICT/cybersecurity compliance.
- Provide plant optimization strategies focused on system optimization and energy efficiency.
- Investigate controls incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support problem management.
- Deliver L1 to L3 technical support to site teams per response priority SLAs.
- Address Niagara application performance issues and maintain communication protocols.
What you'll need
- 3+ years’ experience in maintenance, programming, and integration of Tridium Niagara control systems.
- Awareness of mission-critical data centre infrastructure (e.g., redundant electrical systems, chilled water plant controls).
- Working knowledge of HVAC/electrical/UPS and automation protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and DNP3.
- Ability to construct PLC code from scratch and understand industrial PLC ladder/DDC visual logic.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
- Technical implementation background in DDC/PLC logic and Bacnet/Modbus configuration, plus ICT/networking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
