Design Engineer

Overview

Design and engineer water supply and distribution systems, including transmission mains, networks, pumping systems, reservoirs and associated infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Carry out hydraulic modelling and analysis for water supply networks and transmission systems.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, design reports, technical notes and engineering documentation.
• Develop and review layouts, profiles, schematics and detailed engineering drawings.
• Prepare design criteria, technical specifications, BOQs and tender documentation.
• Review existing systems and identify augmentation, rehabilitation and improvement requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and review technical submissions from consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical support during construction and respond to RFIs and design clarifications.

What you'll need

• Knowledge of water supply and distribution system design.
• Ability to prepare feasibility studies, DPRs, tender documents and detailed project reports.
• Ability to ensure designs comply with applicable Indian and relevant international standards.
• Ability to support site visits, surveys and technical assessments.
• Ability to participate in client meetings and incorporate agreed comments into designs.
• Ability to deliver work within agreed timelines and quality requirements.
