Design Engineer

Overview

Design and engineering role supporting pump upgrades, parts orders and aftermarket units for pump accounts. The position produces compliant designs, drawings, analysis reports and documentation with limited supervision.

What you'll do

• Gather assignment information, review inputs and complete design tasks.
• Update stakeholders on assignment status.
• Apply engineering standards and procedures to product designs.
• Check designs for specifications, form, fit, function, safety and manufacturability.
• Prepare drawings, analysis reports, documentation and parts lists.
• Perform self-checking and support on-time, quality deliverables.
• Maintain document control, preservation and computer filing practices.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant design experience in pumps or rotating equipment, or 5+ years of engineering design experience.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, documents and reports.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5 drafting standards.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D design for pump upgrades, parts and aftermarket units.
• Knowledge of pump design or related equipment.
• Knowledge of ASME, API or DIN design standards and material specifications.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in pump assembly, repair and servicing.
