Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer responsible for engineering design of pump packages and components, preparing technical documentation, and supporting end-to-end engineering initiatives with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Design/engineer pump packages, pump components, and pump layouts.
• Prepare bill of material and project-related technical documentation.
• Create detailed 2D engineering drawings and complex 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Provide end-to-end engineering support for operational and functional initiatives.
• Check own and other team members’ design/drafting work for compliance with standards.
• Process and release engineering drawings through Nexus and support BOM activities.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of relevant experience in pumps or rotating equipment industry.
• Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of ASME/API/DIN design standards and material specifications.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and documents.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar).
• Conversant with GD&T concepts (Basics & Advanced) and drafting standards (ANSI Y14.5; ISO 8015 appreciated).
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and structuring process.

Details

• Good understanding of foundry practice and methodology with ISO 8062 is expected.
• Familiarity with Oracle BOM systems is considered an added advantage.
• FLS policies and procedures to support worksite safety are part of the role.
