Acquisition Engineer

Overview

Acquisition Engineer responsible for reviewing specifications and producing engineering drawings, calculations, and documentation for equipment and project deliverables.

What you'll do

• Review and clarify applicable specifications to determine project requirements and deliverables.
• Generate design, general arrangement, and submittal drawings within estimated hours and timelines.
• Produce 2D/3D CAD drawings for equipment, civil layouts, mechanical details, and installation/piping arrangements.
• Create steel construction, isometric, and other special detailed drawings plus process flow diagrams (P&ID) under guidance.
• Prepare parts-lists, bills of materials, and technical documentation for manufacture.
• Apply and supervise safety standards for equipment and services and maintain standard drawings and data.
• Provide technical support to Operations with sales assistance, drawings, or calculations.

What you'll need

• Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a relevant industry.
• Completed internship in computer aided design with 2 to 5 years and/or equivalent education/experience combination.
• Familiarity with international standards including ISO, DIN, ASME VIII, B31.1, and B31.3.
• Familiarity with water treatment systems and their used materials/components.
• Technical drawing standards knowledge to BS8888:2020 and ISO 128.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Drawing systems (AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advance Steel) and Navisworks, plus MS Word/Excel/MS Office.

• Role is office based.
• Some national and international travel to supplier/client sites could be requested.
