Associate Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Associate Sr. Mechanical Engineer role focused on value engineering, cost reduction, and design quality for product development projects.

What you'll do

• Execute VAVE productivity projects to enhance product value and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and project timelines.
• Identify and implement productivity and cost-saving opportunities using value engineering techniques.
• Contribute to multiple projects on components or subsystems and ensure adherence to QDC standards.
• Stay updated on relevant technology, materials, and process advancements.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably CREO).
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and knowledge of the product development process.
• Working knowledge of DFMEA, ECN, GD&T, production drawings, tolerance analysis, and engineering calculations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for ferrous alloys, non-ferrous alloys, and plastics.
• Ability to interpret FEA test results.
• Experience in electromechanical product design and familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Certification as a “Value Methodology Associate” by SAVE International.
