Design Engineer

Overview

Design Engineer role focused on creating mechanical seal and related rotating-equipment drawings, BOMs, and engineering calculations.

What you'll do

• Prepare preliminary top assembly drafts.
• Create top assembly and manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOM).
• Perform engineering calculations for mechanical seal components.
• Execute model and drawing revisions.
• Complete special tasks as requested by the department.
• Meet quality requirements per the department’s Quality Monitoring Standard.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Several years of experience handling design and development of mechanical equipment with manufacturing interfaces.
• Experience using Solid Edge.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering topics including machine design, GD&T, material science, physics, and manufacturing technology.
• Experience in rotating equipment such as mechanical seals, pumps, compressors, or agitators.
• Knowledge of API application and DIN/ISO standards for GD&T.
