Engineer - Design (F/M/D)

Overview

Engineer - Design is responsible for CAD-based product and component design, preliminary technical support, and review of design feasibility for new products. The role also manages design documentation and coordinates prototype/sample construction trials within product development processes.

What you'll do

• Perform independent process- and application-oriented design of products and components using CAD (Inventor).
• Preselect suitable raw materials based on requirement profiles and create product/overview drawings to specifications.
• Support project engineers and product developers with technical preliminary work under the APQP process.
• Review design details for feasibility and plausibility using CAD models and prototypes (theoretically and practically).
• Manage and maintain IF drawing management and the drawing management/PDM system (Autodesk Vault).
• Initiate and coordinate sample/prototype construction and production/confectioning trials and evaluate results.
• Ensure compliance with legal and internal HSE regulations and instructions.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of professional job experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Background as a Technical product designer, Technician, or Engineering Graduate in plastics, process, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Good project management skills.
• Good engineering skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and basic Lean Management.
• Knowledge of Product Design FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and basics of quality management.
• CAD skills (preferably Autodesk 3D Inventor) and drawing management skills (preferably Autodesk Vault).
