Design Lead - Bangalore, India

Overview

Design Lead for WisdomAI's Bangalore engineering hub, owning major product areas across the platform, setting the craft bar for everything shipped from Bangalore, and growing into the office's design manager as the team grows.

What you'll do

• Own product areas end to end, from customer discovery and problem framing with PMs and engineers through launch and iteration.
• Work side by side with engineers every day, making design a fast, natural part of how Bangalore builds rather than a handoff.
• Prototype early and often with AI tools, building working things rather than static frames, then carry validated concepts through full state coverage and system alignment.
• Set the craft bar in crits and in what ships, and share prompts, patterns, and process with the team.
• Extend the design system so new surfaces arrive coherent by default.
• Partner closely with design leadership in San Mateo across time zones, and help hire and grow the Bangalore design team.
• Drive coherence across the platform, thinking in systems from the context engine outward so a definition, answer, chart, or agent behaves the same way in chat, Slack, Live Apps, and over MCP.
• Define how enterprise agents take on work, report back, earn trust, ask before acting, and show up where people already work.
• Design Live Apps and the templates and primitives that let customers build their own apps and agents.
• Make the context engine's semantics, definitions, and governance legible to the people who configure and rely on it.
• Pick up data visualization work from time to time.

What you'll need

• 7+ years designing products.
• A body of work in complex B2B, data, analytics, AI, or developer tools.
• A high bar for visual, UI, and interaction craft.
• Impeccable taste, with opinions you can explain and defend.
• Sharp product thinking and a talent for taming complexity.
• A systems mind, with experience driving coherence across many surfaces.
• Working AI-natively: designing with LLMs and AI prototyping or coding tools daily, and able to show how they have changed your work.
• Experience mentoring other designers and earning the trust of engineering teams, with an interest in growing into leading a team.

Nice to have

• Coding, or considering yourself part design engineer.
• An interest in data visualization; experience is welcome but not required.
• Experience designing agentic experiences, or templates and systems that other people build with.
• A background in data visualization or analytics.
• Experience on product teams that work across the US and India.
