Developer - Software

Overview

Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java-based software solutions that are scalable, efficient and secure, working closely with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and ship new features
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Document technical designs and processes

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of professional experience with Java development
• Strong knowledge of core Java (Java 8+), OOP principles, and data structures
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot framework
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of build tools (Maven or Gradle)
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Exposure to front-end technologies (basic understanding of React/Angular is a plus)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)

• Physical demands: regular computer work for 6-8 hours a day, prolonged sitting, occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
