Overview
Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines as a DevOps Engineer, supporting application development and delivery with Microsoft Azure and SAP Commerce Cloud.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure Pipelines.
- Configure, manage, and optimize Azure resources, including VMs, Storage, Networking, Kubernetes clusters, and other Azure services.
- Set up proactive alerts and integrate monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools to detect performance issues, security threats, and system failures.
- Create and manage automated builds, testing, release, and deployment pipelines for cloud or on-premises servers.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications, improve performance and cost efficiency, and address performance bottlenecks.
- Implement security best practices for applications on Azure and SAP Commerce Cloud.
- Work with development and QA teams to understand requirements and improve DevOps processes.
- Investigate and resolve DevOps pipeline, infrastructure, cloud application, and system outage issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, IDAM, and security teams on Azure resource setup and Azure Active Directory permissions.
- Manage database backups, point-in-time recovery strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
- Optimize Azure SQL Database performance through indexing, query tuning, and DTU/CPU resource optimization in collaboration with DBA.
- Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Kusto Queries.
- Install and configure SAP Commerce Cloud environments in cloud and on-premises setups.
- Configure secure communications using SSL/TLS and manage encryption keys.
- Administer user access and permissions, including role-based access control, user accounts, groups, and roles.
- Configure SAP Commerce Cloud integrations with SAP S/4Hana and manage data flow between SAP Commerce Cloud and backend systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot integrations involving APIs, middleware, and third-party applications.
- Analyze platform logs and error messages to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Plan and execute SAP Commerce Cloud upgrades, releases, and patches.
- Write scripts for server configuration, monitoring, and administrative tasks.
- Provide technical support and on-call assistance to development and QA teams for critical incidents, production issues, testing, and releases.
- Stay current with DevOps platform trends and implement continuous improvement.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps engineering.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and related services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts and tools.
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification (AZ-400).
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps tools, including Pipelines, Boards, Repos, and Artifacts.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or other related monitoring systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of development life cycle best practices, including version control, QA, build/release management, CI, and regression testing.
- Ability to work in a globally distributed environment.
- Ability to understand customer challenges, navigate from problem to resolution, and communicate processes and resolutions effectively verbally and in writing.
- Overall experience working with e-commerce systems development in a large, corporate environment.
- Good track-record of executing in a dynamic, team-based environment.
Nice to have
- Experience configuring Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and DevOps pipelines.
- Comfort using Git, Sonar, Jenkins, Kibana, and Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud, integration with SAP ERP for real-time calls, and Asynchronous Order Management connecting with SAP ERP or SAP S/4 HANA.
- Good understanding of Hybris Tomcat cluster environments, Apache web servers, and CDNs such as Akami.

- Location: Hyderabad.
- Full-time position.
- 50% of a month is mandatory work from office.
- On-call assistance is required as needed.
