Software Dev Ops Engineer II - Nutanix, EKS

Overview

Platform Engineer responsible for operating, automating, securing, and improving enterprise Nutanix and Kubernetes platforms. The role supports reliable self-service capabilities for development teams and global 24x7x365 services.

What you'll do

• Review Kubernetes, Nutanix Prism, capacity, node health, storage, and incident status.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, networking, storage, ingress, DNS, container runtime, and Nutanix issues.
• Manage cluster provisioning, scaling, upgrades, patches, certificates, RBAC, namespaces, and policies.
• Build reusable Kubernetes capabilities, including templates, Helm charts, operators, ingress, storage, monitoring, and security integrations.
• Develop Terraform and Ansible automation with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
• Enable application teams through workload onboarding, dependency resolution, and self-service capabilities.
• Monitor performance, resolve reliability concerns, document changes, and manage incidents and operational risks.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of IT experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration and platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and Nutanix Karbon/NKP.
• Experience with Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, storage, virtualization, Docker/containerd, Helm, Ingress, CSI, CNI, and operators.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible, plus GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD, GitOps, and automated deployment.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security, observability, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and incident management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cilium, Calico, MetalLB, NGINX/HAProxy, or enterprise load balancers.
• Experience with Rancher, OpenShift, EKS, or AKS.
• Experience with Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK/OpenSearch, or scripting.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale Kubernetes and self-service developer platforms.
