DevOps Engineer - Specialist

Overview

Design, build, automate and operate the infrastructure behind Nasdaq's solutions, with a focus on AWS cloud SaaS, as part of the Marketplace Technology team on the Nasdaq Eclipse Intelligence product in Mumbai.

What you'll do

• Facilitate teamwork between software development and IT operations teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure changes.
• Automate processes and manage infrastructure through code.
• Establish continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Work closely with colleagues in Mumbai and with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
• AWS experience.
• Terraform expertise.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Containers expertise (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, etc.
• Proficiency with Linux commands and utilities including Bash scripting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated issues.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, stakeholders, and users.
• Passion for learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
• Creativity and innovation in creating solutions that meet user needs and deliver business value.
• Attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
• A curiosity for the financial industry and interest in Nasdaq's markets, products and services.
• Degree in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• SaaS experience.
• Understanding of Data Lakes and Data Warehousing.
• Familiarity with big data tools and technologies.
• SQL, Kotlin, RESTful APIs, and Spring knowledge.
