DevSecOps Engineer – Intelligent Platforms & Agents

Overview

Build and sustain secure delivery infrastructure for mission-critical software in Navy and DoD environments. The role combines DevSecOps automation, Kubernetes hardening, compliance engineering, and occasional security-focused application development.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines from development through scanning, validation, and deployment.
• Build and harden Kubernetes environments against DISA STIG requirements.
• Automate SBOM generation, CVE scanning, and compliance validation.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and controls-as-code practices.
• Use AI tools for pipeline development, vulnerability triage, remediation, and documentation.
• Support ATO processes through automated evidence and documentation.
• Maintain runbooks, deployment guides, and architecture diagrams as version-controlled artifacts.

What you'll need

• Secret security clearance that must be maintained.
• At least 4 years of professional DevSecOps or DevOps engineering experience.
• At least 8 years of total relevant experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Hands-on GitLab CI pipeline design and maintenance experience.
• Kubernetes administration, hardening, Terraform, and Helm experience.
• Python or Bash scripting proficiency.

Nice to have

• RKE2 or K3S experience.
• Air-gapped or disconnected network experience.
• Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification.
• Vault, Sealed Secrets, or SOPS experience.
• Prometheus or Grafana familiarity.
• CKA certification or willingness to obtain it.

Details

• Remote/teleworker position in the United States.
• Pay range: $107,900 to $195,050 annually.
