What you'll do
- Design, develop, integrate, and validate diagnostic and AI software for Intel GPU and data center AI products.
- Build board-level and system-level diagnostics for silicon bring-up, hardware validation, system integration, manufacturing, and customer enablement.
- Create capabilities ranging from low-level hardware access to full-feature stress, performance, and functional testing.
- Collaborate early with silicon, board, system, firmware, driver, validation, and customers to define diagnostic requirements and strategy.
- Own the full software lifecycle, including definition, architecture, development and maintenance.
- Develop and optimize AI workloads, benchmarks, simulations, and reference software to support power, performance, and architecture analysis.
- Debug complex system-wide issues involving interactions between hardware and software.
- Develop tools and infrastructure that improve profiling, optimization, productization, and engineering efficiency.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions.
- Drive innovative approaches that make Intel's AI and GPU diagnostics best in class.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; or a PhD.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience developing platform software, firmware, device drivers, diagnostics, or other low-level software.
- Solid understanding of software development practices, including design, debugging, testing, validation, and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software engineering concepts, diagnostic test methods, and debug techniques.
- Ability to solve complex problems that span hardware, firmware, drivers, and applications.
- Clear communication, sound decision-making, and effective collaboration across global, cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience developing diagnostic software for GPU, AI accelerator, data center, or other complex compute products.
- Understanding of board-level and chip-level architecture, board design processes, and hardware testing.
- Experience working closely with hardware and electrical engineering teams during product development and debug.
- Knowledge of GPU architecture, memory, PCIe, and high-performance computing systems.
- Experience with machine learning or deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience developing or optimizing AI workloads for benchmarking, simulation, or pre-silicon power and performance analysis.
